Greetings from the Mayor’s Office,
where Valentines and Groundhogs promise an early return of Spring. I can’t promise good weather, but I can
promise an interesting and varied year in our beautiful village.
During the last Village Board meeting, the community was presented with
an overview of our new Bicentennial Trail.
Time lines have been established, land owners are being contacted and a
construction schedule has been planned.

The Village Board is evaluating a new local law to manage roller
skating and skateboarding on our streets and sidewalks. A public hearing is scheduled for March 8th,at
6:30pm during the next Village Board meeting.

Morgia’s Beach residents have requested and received the OK to develop,
build and hook into the village water system.
The Morgia’s Beach consortium will build the water system entirely at
its own expense.

The Village Board will start reviewing plans for the 2011-2012
budget. The first budget work session is
scheduled for February 24th at 8am in the Village Hall.

The 11th Annual Seaway Trail Quilt Show will be held at the
Seaway Trail Discovery Center, March 19-20th.
·
An “Inside Garage Sale” will take place at Sackets Harbor Central School
on Saturday March 26th from 1:45pm-5pm.
We are all looking forward to Easter festivities in April,
including the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
