VILLAGE OF SACKETS HARBOR
LAW #2 OF 1996
AMENDING LOCAL LAW # 2 OF THE YEAR 1987 - ZONING LAW
Section 1 - Local law #2 of the year 1987, as amended, The Village of Sackers Harbor Zoning
law, is amended to read, in part as provided below.
Section 2 - STATEMENT OF FINDING AND PURPOSE:
The Village Board of Trustees of Sackers Harbor has determined that there has been an accumulation in the number of vehicles, business equipment, supplies, fixtures and household furnishings and construction materials being randomly stored on properties located in alt Zoning Districts of the Village. In order to reduce the unsightliness, and lessen the risk of harm to children and other residents of the Village, and for the general health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Village of Sackers Harbor, it is necessary that restrictions be established for. the proper storage of vehicles, business equipment, supplies, fixtures and household furnishings on properties located within all Zoning Districts in the Village of Sackers Harbor.
Section 3 - The addition of Section 5-10 of Local Law #2 of the Year 1987 as amended to read as follows:
Section 5-10- VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE
Any unused vehicle (whether automobile, bus, trailer, truck, motor home, motorcycle, or snowmobile, or any other type of devise originally intended for travel or transportation on public or private highways ), construction materials, unused business equipment, supplies, fixtures and household furnishings shall not be stored in the Zoning districts of the Village, longer than One (1) month, unless they are enclosed in a structure or fence and are not visible from any other lot or public way.
Section 4 - SEVERABILITY
In the event that any word, phrase or part of this local law shall be declared unconstitutional, the same shall be severed and separated from the remainder of this local law and shall not effect the remainder of said local law which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5 - EFFECTIVE DATE:
This local law shall become effective immediately upon its filing with the Secretary of State.
